There's no way the winning bidder is going to pay up. I hope for his sake he manages to persuade ebay to refund his final value fees!
If he times this badly he could have a bill for $200k+ from ebay and then have to wait 2-3 weeks to start the unpaid item process. It will serve him right if they decide to go after him to teach him a lesson.
