Depends on what your contract says.
Typically, if you get paid weekly, then it's a week, if you get paid monthly, it's a month. This is if there is nothing to the contrary in your contract of employment.

Your contract should state that.Usually 1 week with first 6 months probationary period,1 month within first two years of the service and 2 months to 3 months above that.
For temporary positions, it is usually 1 week.

Does depend on you contract, but also your employer.
I handed in my notice last week and because I'm a supervisor I'm supposed to do 4 weeks, but they have said I could probably only need to do 2
