how much notice is required when resigning a job??????

Depends on what your contract says.

Typically, if you get paid weekly, then it's a week, if you get paid monthly, it's a month. This is if there is nothing to the contrary in your contract of employment.

Your contract should state that.Usually 1 week with first 6 months probationary period,1 month within first two years of the service and 2 months to 3 months above that.
For temporary positions, it is usually 1 week.

i aint got a contract or anything that resembles a contract so what notice is required
not that it matters coz im off friday anyway
could they stop any of my money im owed? i get paid the 28th

If you've no contract, then you're able to do what you like. And they're able to do what they like in return.

Does depend on you contract, but also your employer.
I handed in my notice last week and because I'm a supervisor I'm supposed to do 4 weeks, but they have said I could probably only need to do 2
