Default Parcelforce

I ordered a nice set of chefs knives last week after getting some recommendations from the recent thread on here. Anyway I had a nice email from the company saying they'd been shipped and would be delivered today by Parcelforce.

Super I think, but when I got home from work there's no card left so I assume it hasn't been delivered. Just checked the tracking website and apparently my package was indeed delivered, to me, at my house, this morning, while I was actually at work. There's even a scanned "signature" that (obviously) bears no resemblance to my name proving it was delivered.

No card through the door and none of the neighbours have been round, so I can only assume the muppets have delivered it to the wrong house and some thieving pikey has signed for it and got themselves a free £180 set of knives.

Wnakers.

Will be calling them in the morning.

I think its just a good perk of the job

I can beat that.

Today I got a letter from Parcelforce stating they have a package for me but can't find my house! Oh the irony of posting a letter to an address you can't find. What's worse is they are trying to charge me as it's been out for delivery 3 times and each time it's a failed delivery as there is no one home? Well seeing as you can't find my house how can you say I'm not in? they had to use multimap in the end.

And no, still no parcel yet!

I got the same thing, the driver had signed for it and hidden it round the back of the house, go outside and check!

Does it say anything on the sheet? Mine said signed for by "Turner under bath" and I'm called Turner, wondered who the hell this Mr under bath was until I realised he'd put it under the old bath we'd ripped out :S

There was no card or note left at all, all i have to go on is the "proof of delivery" on the website. Have edited out some personal data but you can see the "signature", no other comments whatsoever. The surname is correct but I assume that's written on the parcel, so they've just crudely scrawled that on as a signature.

id personally have a word with your supplier. They hold the contract with parcelforce so theyll be able to sort it out for you. its better comming from them than you cause arsehole force wont want to lose the contract.

Sod off!

It does look like a 3 year old signed it with a crayon grasped in their fist though, so not far off my signature.

Hehe.

Not surprised at this. Ordered an Icybox and 200gb hard drive before Xmas, delivered by Parcel Force special delivery. Box was left on doorstep while I was out.

Was a bit miffed, especially with the pikey neighbour round the corner, looks like he's got rid of his noisy chav car now

I have had some bizarre experiences with couriers...

...bought something from ebay recently which was sent by Parcelforce - within 24hours they claimed that they had never received a parcel for sending to me - they had even lost the tracking information. Two weeks later they contacted to say they had 'found' some parcels and one of them was for me and did I want it. Still took another week to come.

Fedex delivered a parcel to me - well it would have been except they left it in someones shed seventeen miles from my house!!! Luckily the owner was over my way and actually delivered it for me!!

Well wahey for some peoples honesty. Neighbour has just come round with a parcel his wife accepted yesterday, he confirmed that she wasn't asked to sign anything so it seems the driver faked my signature and then didn't leave a card saying where it had been left.

Great, well done Parcelforce.

Just glad my neighbours are honest.

Hey at least you got a result from their website! I have never managed to get an answer out of it, all I get is

" We are currently unable to confirm that status of your parcel. Please check the number and try again. If you are tracking a parcel sent from outside of the UK, we may not have received it yet. Please try again or use the help button below."

and this has been going on for a week now!!!!

Crikey.

I've had bad experiences with Parcelforce before so I try to avoid using them if at all possible. Sometimes when you order online though they don't say which courier service they're using so you have to take pot luck.
