WRC on ITV
What's going on????
Where's Robbie??
Now we have some female reading from a script in an incredibly annoying, patronising tone and no passion.
Come back Robbie all is forgiven.

Thankfully those two numpties have gone and we dont have to look at them and listen to their crap anymore. The woman may well be painfull to listen to, I`d rather listen to her than the bull of Robbie Heeeeead and Dick Desborough.
At least its action all the way

I mean, Robbie does / should know what he is talking about!

I agree at least he had some idea what he was talking about she is some cheap voice over person with no interest or passion for the sport.
If some body doesnt do some thing quick the few remaining viewers will switch off and loss interest.

And Desborough is a very knowledgable chap - he loves rallying. I've met him on several occassions. It's a shame not to have someone who obviously loves the sport and is a half decent presenter not to be involved with the show.

Robbie know his stuff for sure, its just the way he delivered it that put me off. Also him peshing about with his mobile doing split times / rubbing his hands together while on camera, I found him really annoying.
Could well`ve been his accent too
I just didn`t like him as a presenter. Or Desborough. Glad they`ve gone.

This is essentally the same team that ran WRC on Eurosport. I beleive its the offical ISC feed. The advantage is you get footage of the cars and interviews with the drivers with a little VS thrown in. And its the full 50 mins or so. I like it.
Whereas the shambolic ITV coverage, used to reduce that by filler with Head and Desborough. Shame Jeremy Harts not there anymore, but thats the way sometimes.

The new coverage is far dumbed down
she says childish things like "a rally car will slow down down considerably if at has a broken turbo"
its like a yts course for rally spectators
weak at best

But isn't that exactly what Desborough and the rest of the ITV coverage was doing. Educating the people that don't follow it religiously.

But that was explained so the average person could understand it. This is fully dumbed down for the idiot to understand. At least before it had knowledgeable people doing something they were passionate about. You got that enthusiasm coming across. This woman is a complete and utter dullard who appears to know nothing about the sport. She belittles anybody with a problem and generally comes across as very unprofessional.

You guys are right on the money aren't you?! It's only taken four events for you to notice!
Seeing as we're name dropping, I've met JD loads of times, chatted to Heeeeed, had sweets off Brewer and I've been round the WRC-TV HQ, if I were you, I'd watch what you say about it round these parts too

Ah name dropping, was a VIP at the Welsh rally in 2003 thanks to a competition from Inmarsat, full access everywhere, into the Service area the other side of the barriers when the cars were in for service, meeting Malcolm Wilson, most of the drivers at some point or another, had evening meal on the same table as Desborough, nice chap.
Sad to see the new format being accepted, I liked Head and Desborough.

personally i prefer watching more action - what she actually is saying is ok but the tone of it is too argggh (cant put a word to it) - this needs to be broadened out to the average F1 audience to educate them that this is one heck of a lot more exciting than F1.
should be two commentaries available...and none at all
press Red button for choice of:
1) novice style commentary
2) rally fan commentary
3) no talking except at interviewing the driver stage - lets listen to the cars more !!

I don't care who commentates as long as they have a passion for the sport unlike the current commentators. I liked Desborough and Hart and yes, I've met them both Ah, remember Hartisms?

The ITV coverage is just a truncated version of Eurosports.
Anyone else sick of Eurosports total inability to air programs at the time they advertise them?

Definitely getting worse. I thought ITV was trying to become the channel to turn to for motorsport? Or is that just F1/Touring Cars?

If you think ITV are bad, try watching IndyCars on Sky...
If the safety car comes out they go back to the studio and talk bo11ocks fo so long they miss the restart.

I really liked Jeremy Hart and have met him on a couple of occasions. Both times he was happy to chat enthusiastically about the WRC and spill the beans on all the inside info
I get the impression he's a bit like Marmite, either you do or you don't

Seeing as we're name dropping - I did the plans for Malcolm Wilson's house extention - oh a little something for him at Dovenby too...

I don't really mind who does it, just happy it's still being shown on ITV.
They cut back their coverage because there was no British drivers of any interest to them.
At least their programmes start on time unlike Eurosport who have time slots of plus or minus 2 hours to that advertised.

Eurosport drive me mad, I have to set the Sky box to record at least an hour either side of the advertised time and then it's still a lottery as to whether you record it or not
Why can't they just pay the cash and have it updated in the Sky guide like other channels do? At least we'd stand a chance of recording it then.
