Getting everywhere in this country aren't they?

I live in a sleepy backwater as you can probably tell from some of my posts on here. we have never had a large population of people I dont consider to be English (trying hard to choose my words correctly)

Over the past coulple of years the local oriental population has risen quite sharply, most of them not speaking a word of English.

I am also noticing alot of eastern european accents around and about. This is very strange and not something i've noticed before.

I assume this is a country wide thing, I wonder where it will end?

With any luck it will end with all the lazy, racist, ugly, stupid and ill educated natives dying out by being out evolved by hard working, literate and sexy immigrants.
At least that's what I'd hope for.

That's nothing, in our village I've noticed an awful lot of people driving round in those horrible French Peugeots!

No - it'll probably just end with the minimum wage being lowered (or become the "standard wage") so we can abuse the immigrants legally .

I cant get the council to come and repair my neighbours fence because they are out of money 4 months before the end of the financial year, yet there are plenty of people wandering the streets talking in foreign languages who no doubt are being payed for by the same council .......

i come from an oriental descent. My parents came over here not knowing that much english. however, they have learned and have worked hard and have achieved more than the average person in the indigenous population.

They did not scrounge from the environment but did what the majority of oriental people appeared to have done, that is open up a restaurant/take away. Working 6 days a week for the past x years is not something that a lot of people are prepared to do but they did this to improve their standard of living.

I don't like people coming over to the UK and taking advantage of the benefits system because i already pay a shedload of tax. But i do think you need to give them a chance. The vast majority are probably prepared to work hard - it is the Press will pick out the benefits cheats for good stories. If there is anyone to blame it is the government for their inefficiencies at keeping tabs.

From what I've seen,working in ship repair,there has been an enormous influx of Polish workers.

To be honest its not a problem if they contribute to our wealth and work their nuts off so to speak, its the lazy gits that sponge off society and expect a free handout that bug me - and that goes for the English as well

We as a country need to get out of this 'its my entitle-ment' or -com-pen-say-shun' society that is costing taxpayers millions - but hey lets not have a political discussion here.

Y'all should bitch to your government and leave the immigrants alone. If you are one of those people that think you need to keep your blood line pure, then you might want to buy your own island.. then you can control the population anyway you like.

I dont think this is a racial thread, and look at it this way - how many of us are actually that pure - er i cant think of any, down the line we've all got a bit of Scottish, Irish whatever in us - i've got a bit of Jewish and Scottish in me - thats why i'm so tight

Shed loads of Polish around here too now and we're in the middle of knowhere, to be fair though theyre working but we do seem to have picked up alot of Foriegners around here who aint working too.

Working i have not a problem with, sponging - i do and that includes people who were born here as well, the Vicki Pollard sort

Not to worry - they wont be any English here in ten years everyone seems to be buggering off to Spain or Canada

what would you do if you were a skilled worker in eastern europe earning 35p (or whatever it is an hour). i for one would get the f*ck out and do the same thing elsewhere for more.

its all going round in circles. shouldn't have joined the EU, then wouldn't have this problem. But if didn't have the eastern europeans over, who would be washing my car?!
