Oh ive been using logic for about 10 years..... but ive recently installed it on my laptop and am having a nightmare.
Basically audio is out of sync (to cut a long story short) and Ive tried all I can think of and am having no luck.None of the usual remedies are working.
Cubase is easy yes- I still use that on my atari STs!

yep. have reinstalled logic. This is all being done on a freshly wiped cleaned and reinstalled laptop too.
Can get it perfectly in sync when using the MME driver (this is XP) but if that driver is assigned to logic, then I cant open logic again once I have exited it, as the MME is used by windows.
Have to delete the logic preference file, and then it opens fine with no settings- but does exactly the same when its selected again.
Logic gets ****ty about having to share drivers... really pissing me off- as I have some tracks to get done pretty urgently.
Everything else works fine- but switch the click on when its playing audio or a soft synth and its all over the shop. Not just a latency issue as its drifting contstantly. Bizarrely, it plays audio back perfectly in time with itself- even when triggering softsynths/samplers played from the matrix- just not in time with the midi. Midi out through my interface works fine too- just the timing problems again. thats all thats wrong.

Just reading the bottom bit - sounds like your card isn't sync'ing properly. Have you tried setting it up under ASIO? (IIRC - bit rusty on PC Logic. Been on Mac for eternity!! )

well...got it working of sorts.
-150ms delay on all midi info (in sync menu) knocks it all in sync with the audio. But it takes about 6 to 8 bars to lock up- and before that its all over the shop its a workaround of sorts but its still ****e.
Have no ASIO drivers...... and not sure if i should have!? Not up to speed on all this.....and cubase is a piece of **** in comparison. I fecking hate all this carp. hence why I still use my (t)rusty ST's which never let me down
Just using the standard card in it for audio
Now i know why my old colleges and all the studios ive been in used MACS for them- because they bloody work!

In your defence, Logic was NEVER very good on the PC. After speaking to some chaps in Emagic Tech support, their day-to0day job was pretty much sorting out issues like this on the PC. Harldy had any callers regarding the Mac.
Hence their decision to drop the platform - cost too much in support.
Check out that logic forum, I use it a fair bit to help people out, as there's some REALLY nerdy people on it
