What is this country coming to, lock him up and chuck away the key. What a waste of space.

Has anyone else that has, or will contribute to this thread, knocked their nail into kate moss, and is dripping in cash?
he's got to be doing something right...ok he's a bit wayward, and likes his pharms, so what?
pete doherty is a journalists dream come true for the daily rags...he's everything they want and more. he'll either fade into insignificance, or be found dead in a pile of his own mess, his choice!

All part of the image. His music will never get him noticed but look at how many people now know who he is or talk about him. He's front page news and stirs up emotions. I think he's playing a bit of a game.

/\That's what annoys me /\ he's a nothing...like Jade goody or that other bint that won Big borther.
Yet they get plastered in papers and earn wads of cash
And Pete-mate bags a bit of Moss ...WTF??? HOW??
He has done nothing of any worth to deserve his status or income
Ozzy Osbourne is more intellectually coherent than this useless excuse for human life and that's saying something.

Utter boswellox
he created and fronted a succsesful band with a big following before he was ever seen in the papers, unlike any BB contestant you could mention. He's a victim of his own success, and he doesn't GAF who knows about it.
There's a myriad of other blokes in his game that have done what he has done, and do it on a regular basis, but they just don't get the publicity like he does, and if they do, it's constrewed as being cool & rock n' roll.
I put it down to national jealosy syndrome. Lets have it right, he has a face like a farmers ****, and he shagged a supermodel. Now that's GOTTA sell papers

The first Time I heard the libertines I thought "WTF is this sh*t" Then tuned the radio to a different station.
That's what I thought...nothing but utter dross from day one.....he sounded half sloshed back then too.
How he or The libertines ever got to any form of mainstream music still bewilders me. As for his babywhatsotits, oh please. The only thing this music betters is euro trance and rap/R&B.

Funny this thread has just come up. I've just been round at a mate's house who is into all the latest bands such as the Libertines and Babyshambles. Usually i wait till he leaves the room and i swap the cd for sommat i like (Pink Floyd, Queen etc), however i found myself tonight listening very closely to the good tunes he was playing only to discover it was the Libertines

I do not deride music to any genre. "Alternate" probably being the best genre if I must label myself. I just know what I like.
Generally nothing termed as popular music

why? because he's a *****? or do you think he is trawling the streets, pumping white powder up impressionable youth's noses?
an hour ago you wanted to stamp on his head, now you want to give him 6 months, make your mind up.

Rocker Pete Doherty has been arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs - just hours after being spared jail for drugs possession. The 27-year-old Babyshambles singer was detained in east London on Thursday afternoon. He could now face jail if found guilting of breaking a community order.
just doing what he's does best
has he got a get out of jail free card
