Sky One would like to apologise for the comments by Ricky Gervais that Channel 4 shows episodes 3 years after they have been on Sky One.

I'm a big simpsons fan but I'd have to say 90% of the new episodes I've seen have been fairly sh*te. I think they have totally run out of material now. Most of the new episodes are so much more sureal than the older ones.

THat was easily the worst pile of crap i've seen in a long time. Even without all the build up it had over the last few weeks it wasn't worth watching, the only funny thing was, as someone already mentioned, the apology at the very begining.
It really looks as though Ricky Gervais is a one trick pony.

Didn't watch it, but have to say the comments don't surprise me. I haven't found Ricky Gervais funny since he was on the program that Ali G started on, the 11 O'Clock show or something?

crap. it was so overhyped it had to be crap. never found RG to be even remotely funny.
i love the simpsons, old ones, new ones...all good. that was crap by their usual standards

I was disappointed with it, the script was weak, the gags lacklustre. The fuinniest bit was Sky's apology to C4at the start.
I do love the Simpsons, it is still one of the funniest shows around, the humour is clever, not too clever but well thought out and brilliantly delevered. This episode however just did not have the same feel at all. It felt like Ricky Gervias was competely overwhlemled by the who expeience and did not do/give his best.
Too much hype not enough substance - typical Sky then!

This episode was purely for the Yank market, asthey seem to love anything with him in it.
I've been an avid fan of the Simpsons (bordering on Nerd) for the last 11 years, and I thought it was one of the "worst episodes ever" (
