"The firm said it hoped to remain in the area but also warned that it could be forced to relocate elsewhere in the UK if it could not find suitable premises nearby."
in other words government put your hand in your pocket or we'll go abroad and blame u

Things dont look good. I suspect production will be moved overseas - the guy has bought the company to make a profit above all else, not like in previous years when it was owned by Peter Wheeler, who was a genuine car enthusiast above all else.
The claim orders have fallen over the winter, but then I expect they dont sell that many over winter anyway - this could just be spin basically - an excuse to drop 1/2 the workforce, and then close the Blackpool factory. Theyve always been a low volume producer.
To be honest theres so much red tape and massive taxes for UK businesses now under Labour it doesnt come as a surprise that so many are going under or relocating overseas

I agree that it would be sad if production moved overseas, but I wouldn't be too bothered if they moved from Blackpool to somewhere else in the UK. (Sorry if any TVR employees in Blackpool are reading this). The backdrop of the tower and chav-city has always been slightly at odds with the sophisticated TVR image anyway.
