why am i always skint?
When i ws a student i paid 20p for a web lettuce because it was green and wet and that what lettuce is.
Now i spent £1.79 on hand picked, pre washed pre packed organic baby rocket leaves.
When i was a student i bought loose tomatos at about 5p each
Now i buy prewashed prepacked baby plum tomatos at £1.69 a pack
When i was a student i bought Kwik Save custard creams for 19p
Now i buy hand prepared extra special triple chocolate crumbles for £1.19
When i was a student i bought battery chicken eggs for about 19p and didnt give a ****
Now I buy organic free range omega 3 (WTF?) eggs for £1.19
When I was a student i bought a family pack of aldi sausages for 39p
Now I but taste the difference pancetta and whatever sausages for £2.05
When I was a student I bought Squeezy washing up liquid for 49p
Now I buy Active Naturals with lavender and orange oil for 99p

didnt say i actually did anywashing up as for the salad we were so skint we'd put our own salad in our kebabs

When I was a student I bought beer at £1 a pint.
Now I buy exactly the same beer for £3.50 a pint.
When I was a student I bought donner kebabs for £2

Stop buying tarts food from M&S
I can still get beer and a burger at weatherspoons for £3.50....I lived off them whilst at uni
And back when I was eating battery eggs, I could eat them all day long at the local greasy spoon...nothing better than a B.E.S.T mid-morning between lectures to sooth the hangovers
Now, I'm allergic to eggs I'm sure it's some modern sh*te they are feeding/injecting the things with this omega wotsit. Mind, I'm still allergic to the organic free range eggs too. 
I was also responsible for stopping old school scooby owners from having their cars nicked (back when they didn't come with standard alarms/immobilsers).....I fitted car alarms part time

Anybody make the fatal student error of buying Sunblest Cornflakes (about 70p for a big box), expecting them to actually taste like cornflakes? They were disgusting. Unless of course you liked milk on popcorn.
And then there was the Kwik-Save answer to meat - "Freeflow Soya-enriched Mince". Oh yummy. BSE in a bag. God knows how many chilles and spag bols I made with that greasy offal.
Did anyone else realise that it was cheaper to buy Kwik-Save frozen chips than potatoes? Bag of chips, boil 'em up, lovely mash!!

Work out monthly incomings. Then, subtract set monthly outgoings (set amounts).
With the remainder, get 4 little pots (for each week in the month) and put your "social" money in them. I have £80 a week.
Anything over and above that, stick into a savings account by means of a standing order.
I did this, 4 months ago, and so far have saved £4200. What I was spending my cash on before I do not know, quite literally I couldn't account for £700 a month!!!!
Easy.
