Trip To Paris
I had need to go to Paris today so I elected to drive over. Took the Eurotunnel (£54 return not bad for a booking on Saturday eve for a Sunday afternoon crossing ) and stayed in some random Logis near Arras. Meant I could drive gently into Paris for lunchtime with no rush. Drove back this afternoon/evening - 6 hours zactly St Cloud to Suffolk and it took me an hour to get out of Paris
Anyhow, some observations.
1) French drivers are so so much better at moving over and obeying the French equivalent of keep left.
2) French drivers are much more aware of motorcyclists and move over in their lane to let them pass, indicating where necessary.
3) French motorways are empty
4) French motorways are generally super smooth.
5) I did the whole trip back without stopping for diesel or at all, which made it all very easy.

Yep agree.
A few times now I have driven to South Paris and back same day, in my old WRX wagon. Had to stop for fuel though
Once took wrong turn on the motorway and found myself on the road to CDG airport - fecking miles long with no turn offs, then a PITA to get out again! Added 45 mins to my journey that did
