Starter - stuffed mushrooms...
Get some large open mushrooms, streaky bacon, garlic and cheese... Fry the bacon and allow to cool, meanwhile remove the stalks of the mushrooms. Chop the stalks, garlic and bacon, mix with a few breadcrumbs and bind the mixture with a splash or two of white wine. Fill the mushrooms with the mixture and put in an oven proof dish then sprinkle some cheese on top. Pour in more white wine to cover the base of the mushrooms then cook for 20 mins at around 180 C... Very nice starter...

ok, nice and easy but looks great.
Joint of beef, night before put in a dish with red wine (molot, something smooth like that) and a few cloves of garlic, leave over night, before cooking seal (put in a pan and fry the edges to seal in the moisture) then roast (20 mins a kg plus another 20 mins) roast potatoes (ready cooked ok) with some rosmary on, choice of veg, and make the gravy out of the meat juices, yorkshire puds and stuffing if likes, if nice and easy but looks like you have really tried.

Marinade chicken cubes in garlic, butter and sundried tomatoes for a few hours. Put a little olive oil in a frying pan and add the chicken etc. Fry until brown. When ready add some double cream. serve with rice. if you want to add a little place the rice into a cup and compress. Then turn it over onto a plate to serve. Place a leaf of parsley on top. a simple , quick but enjoyable main course.

Thats the problem with the yuth of today, never happy !
Just make the effort and make her feel special, if she likes (dare I say loves) you then she will appreciate any effort that you make, just do something nice and dont stress about it, something simple, strawberries and cream to follow, a nice DVD and a bottle of wine, and you will be king
Good luck
