Bought a big one from costco on friday. 3 burners, plus gas ring and very high quality, heavy built stainless (80Kg, without gas bottle!). Cost me £280, and is great!

Any decent suggestions?

It's got nothing to do with you being 'out'. Just because you're gay doesn't mean you should feel obliged to cook on gas!
Its got more to do with the great british institution of the BBQ! The lighting ceremony.... the sausage that always falls down the side and gets cremated.... (but it doesn't count if nobody sees and you can rescue it quick enough
)
Its the stacking of the coals.... the white spirit.... the WOOOMF!
Gas is souless.
Cooking on gas is tragic.

I had a bbq last night, two coal jobs, difficult to light due to too much wind, some lighter fluid sprayed about did the trick.
Note to self : Light bbq before drinking
Started to rain later as well, bloody Scottish weather

Sorry for the slight shock there Chip! Maybe a bit above budget, but it is very good though!
Back on topic - B&Q seem to be having a few 20% off garden furniture weekends, which might be worth a go - had cheap (non-stainless) gas barbies in from £60....
