Thought the Lotus was a cracking car myself, however, i wouldn't buy one for 30 odd grand. What I'd prefer to do it honda my engine, 17k including the car for over 200 bhp, 0-60 in 4 seconds. Who would want extras when you can blow nearly anything away.

I thought it was very irresponsible to launch those vehicles into the resevoir when it was fairly apparent that they would sink or at least have some kind of mechanical glitch.
More importantly, I dread to think what kind of untold damage has been done to the ecological balance of the water thanks to their vehicles spilling petrol, diesel, oil and other nasty liquids into the water.
I am sure my licence fee money could be put to far better use and shall be writing to the BBC to let them know my feelings.

Bit too much like Scrapheap Challenge to me, but not as good
They need a bit more car-related stuff - there must be a lot of good mileage in the take three cars in a category (not necessarily super-cars all the time) back-to-back comparisons

I would imagine after that trip there wouldnt be much in the way of coolant or lubricant left, the BBC do tend to be pretty up on those matters and anyway I bet the ducks have a crafty crap in that water as well.....
