Default Using a mobile abroad

Off to Nice on Wednesday for a week and will be making quite a few calls home for various reasons. Currently on an Orange contract phone.

Anything I can do to get cheaper calls home from France than the 70p/min Orange charge,

Cheers

Chip

www.orange.co.uk/away - a little bit cheaper

Have just signed up for the monthly frequent traveller (£2) service myself.

Check out buying a local PAYGo card, that's what I do when in Oz.

Obviously that is cheaper for local calls in France, but you'd need to compare the prices to see if calls home are cheaper or not.

I save money doing it in Australia compared to a UK telco card.

dont forget you need to swap over to the 'other side' so use the left ear or vice-versa

Maybe worth looking at http://www.0044.co.uk/

I've no experience of this myself so can't recommend it, but have been wondering about getting one for Spain. The France one doesn't look to be as good value though.

Anyone any experience of one of these ??
