Get your priorities straight!
7 pages of arguing over why Tesco's are the anti-christ for reporting a bloke posing with gun to the police, yet no one seems to be concerned over this:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/5007214.stm
Now that's erosion of personal freedom and is something we should all agree is Government control going too far.
I expect 7 pages of "that's shocking, I'm going to wrote to my MP and complain" from those SN'ers who were so concerned over a gun-toting hunter's personal freedom.

I saw this. TBH I was too shocked to put it up here. That is truly disgusting.
There is some really nasty stuff going round with this "war on terrorism" hype. A soldier refuses to fight as he thinks the war is illegal, and the court martial refuses to even allow that as a defence. If not that, then what the hell is allowable? When people in the Nuremburg trials were shot for just following orders? Meanwhile in the good old US another court has ruled that the executive can virtually do what it likes (forgotten the context, a few days ago, I think it was unauthorised phone tapping) as there is a national security situation. Nevertheless, when questioned about where is OBL (who is the cause of all this) a high official said a month ago "Yeah well, it's like looking for a needle in a haystack, so our resources are elsewhere" or similar.
Truly, truly sad evidence of a police state.
BTW, I hear GWB says that now democracy is threatened in Venezuela and Bolivia? HA HA HA HA HA! He meant that the people hadn't elected a US puppet government so now they're a threat. I say "foul".

It's lasting damage to traditional UK civil rights. Nothing to do with political correctness - it's simple repression of the right to protest.
But don't worry. In a few years they won't need this anti-terror legislation to arrest people who are doing nothing, they'll just be arrested for not declaring a notifiable change to their information in the national identity register.
