Just had a leaflet through the door requesting old clothes to be put in a bag for collection that they will distribute to 3rd world countries. Mrs said they are probably dodgey so checked the leaflet and saw they only have a hotmail account and are not a registered charity but a ltd company. Did a google for them and seems lots of county trading standards investigations into them.
Looks like they take your clothes and then sell them to other people or businesses in the UK making money out of your clothes you have given them that were supposed to be going to the needy![Mad](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/mad.gif)
Seem to have been doing the rounds across England so if you get a leaflet from them be warned they are not do gooders but profiteers.
Just one of many links saying what a bunch of dodgey ******* they are, also registered in East London so sounds like second hand clothing stall business to me![Mad](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/mad.gif)

ITs a big business these days they even pay charities nominal amounts to use the charities names to get more clothes then sell the good stuff to UK market traders and the rubbish gets sold to eastern europe and africa. When charity shops can't sell clothes these companies also pick up their old stock for a nominal amount priced by the kilo or ton and then ship it to africa.

The b4stards you have to watch out for are the thieves that come round on the days that real charity bags are due to be collected and steal all the bags from the doorsteps before the charity workers have a chance to come round and collect them! Not a very pleasant activity IMHO.
