I went to see it the other night. I read the book back in january in 2 days! I thought it was a good adaptation, just some of the scenes weren't the same as my interpretations! I don't know what all the fuss has been about, they even said in the film that everything was based on theories.

Trouble with religious people is, they've been campaigning so long that they don't really know what theyr'e campaigning for anymore!

I enjoyed it.

yes but unlike you I dont come on here just to start arguments.

all the boxes which needed to be ticked for me were filled.

it had action, adventure, it was a film that made you think, and it had more twists that snake pass, it wasnt just another boring film which you obviously go for.

Er, it was ****e! The French bird can't act to save her skinny legs.
Ian McKellan should be given an award for the biggest over actor in the world.

Tell me, seriously, what did it make you 'think' ... it made me think 'how are people able to sit here and watch this utter rubbish and not lose the will to live' and along comes dimbo1973 who thinks it is the best thing since 'Bill and Ted'

Do yourself a favour, remove your eyeballs and play ping pong with them ... they are obviously of no use to you!

Have you read the book??

The film is about the book. It is about Dan browns interpretation of what evidence and facts he has found and read. With a story line to it. The facts are suppose to be real but the story isn't.

Its not suppose to be anything like "ghostbusters" as you expected it to be. If you went to the cinema and expected it to be an all action all go film, then you are the one who needs a brain!! You fookin dips**t!!!!!

Hey stick to "power rangers"!!!!!!!!!

ps dont sit to long trying to think of a witty reply!!

Thought book and film were very good!

Utter rubbish
Is that what the Times told you?

Film was ok, was never gonna cover the ground of the novel, but on the other hand, we didn't have to put up with his **** poor prose.

Negative reactions to the film have been from the assumed intelligentsia, which is odd as nobody short of a gibbon would've thought the book was literature. It's a blockbuster!! Enjoy it FFS!

PS Independence Day had some gaping holes in storyline, and I didn't like Escape To Victory either.

I don't read the Times. I also never read film reviews. The reason I said what I said its because thats my opinion. You may not often have one of those.
The French birds acting WAS awful, and McKellan was WAY over the top.

So lets put this all together for you in simple terms. It was badly acted and poorly scripted, to me this means a ****e film. It was NOT a blockbuster like Star Wars/James Bond its a different genre and fails.

The book was not bad for an airport novel, the film ****e.

In your opinion, yes - to others, they may have enjoyed the film.

That's what I don't get; people constantly telling others that their opinion is wrong, and they're right because they can back it up with their personal "facts".

Saw it last night.

In common with every other film succeding a book, the film is nowhere near as good.

Story was good, and i thought it was good they had a few differences compared to the book. Paul Bettany was superb, Hanks and mckellern no different to what you would expect from them, french bint was terrible.

Good film but does not quite live up to the hype.

Thought it was great, but i don't have the patience to read big books...
But i did read Lord of the rings a very long time ado, and the film was spot-on to my thinking.

Never read the Times film critics, just stupid mumbo jumbo to fill column inches.
