That's the problem with not being on the portly side - if you don't have to wedge yourself into the seat so you don't move, then you bang the edges and end up with a shiner like that

i think she is going to have to invest in some sort of back protection as she is wanting to do a 24hr kartathon women only for charity

ouch! at buckmore park where i've done some karting they fit you with a rib protector which covers your kidney area aswell.
if you've bashed your hip moving in the seat they should have fitted a foam skin to make it smaller for a snug fit.
worth looking into if you're going to be in the kart for a while
24 hrs even with a team of 20 odd you'll be shattered! does sound like fun though, shame it's women only or does it count if you're a cross dresser

The karting place should have provided her with extra cushion/padding.
Their fault. What karting place was it?
Sounds like she was actually driving properly, most women plod along slowly

went karting last week and came back with the same thing. set the fastest lap time of both the sestions we did though so it was worth it. got span out by one of my mates at full chat and took a front wheel righ off. to say the bloke was not too happy would be putting it mildley. felt really strange driving home as well arms where killing me.

Theres a kart track opened on Anglessey (Cartio Mon), just off the *** near Bryngwan, we spend a fair amount of time over there and its only a few miles from where we stay so I took the kids, little un was too small as he is only 7, the other two loved it. It seems really well run, the owner is very friendly, he is a farmer who diversified after foot and mouth.
I went back for another go with my brother in law who had promised to spank me which wasnt quite how it panned out.
It is annoying when you get passed purely because someone is lighter than you, I am over six foot and sixteen stone so you get teenagers weight 10/11 stone going past, anyway I got within a second of the fastest lap of the day so not too bad, 27.79, the course record by the owners (skinny) son is just under 25 seconds.
I wonder how much difference the weight thing actually makes, anyone have any idea, I reckon an extra 70 pounds must make quite a dent in the power to weight ratio, the answer is to lose 5 stone !
