David Blaine - how the hell...
does he do some of his 'tricks'?
Just watching his breath holding stunt on ITV and while i'm not that impressed with that some of the tricks he is showing with random audiences is gobsmackingly astounding
Just can not work out how he does the teeth removal trick, saw blood in the womans mouth as he pulls her tooth out, her facial expression shows she is sh!tting herself thinking she has just lost a tooth while she sticks her toungue where her tooth should be and then he does a form of blow/sneeze lol and her tooth reappears Hows that work then

Also what about the bars in the prison? That was a bit weird too.

Dont think her teeth come out, just an illusion.
He had his hands in her mouth, giving him plenty of opportunity to place a fake gum around the area making it look like she was missing a tooth, blood could be a little paint/dye sack bursting.
When he blew, she got a shock, the fake gum perhaps disolves with added saliva and hey presto she has her teeth back.
It seems far fetched perhaps but no more far fetched than what the illusion made it look like.
Come on you dont actually believe all that bollocks!
Holding the breath comes with practice and is not magic. As was said the WR was 8:58 and he got no where near. Although i think without the chains, plenty of food and the fact his previous week was spent under water, he may fair better if he prepared properly!
Card tricks are more often than not camera trickery with a bunch of 'insiders'
Bar in prison was probably heated before hand making it weak

Problem with all Blaines more elaborate illusions. Is that since the Levitation was revealed as being filmed afterwards and edited together. I can't trust what you see anymore.
Shame, as when he first turned up (with DiCaprio in tow) he was one of the first Street Magicians. Which was very cool.

Also just watching him on ITV4 now and his double jointedness is just grim, put his hand flat on the ground and without moving the rest of his body his hand was moved 360 degrees round on the floor

He should stick to his endurance, his street stuff is clever editing, being stuck in a fish bowl for 7 days is just endurance and something that can be applauded.

Im not too sure on the gum, i think a fake raised gum was cleverly stuck over her original gum!
As it was raised, it showed a gap, and she felt the gap with her tongue thinking her tooth had been removed. The blood could just be a dissolvable bag implanted in the mouth that mixed with the saliva. Again the fake gum may have disolved with saliva?
She may have been a stunt, that actually did have a missing tooth. Put the fake tooth in loosely in order for him to pull it out!
I think 1 of these theories is closer to the truth than what actually happened but hey who knows maybe magic is real

Anyone got any links to sites that have the evidence/proof/stories on being exposed as using camera edits and stooges?
Are you all suggesting all the tricks he does are camera edits and that he doesn't do any real tricks at all? Surely anyone could do tricks like this so why would he become famous if none of his tricks are actually visual tricks and just camera edits?
As for the trick with his hand, he is actually massively double jointed as he demonstrated on more than one occasion on the shows that were on last night. The moves he can do with his limbs with no clothing covering them is quite disturbing. Yes the full clockwise lock to anticlockwise way works but he lifted his sleeve up to expose his arm so it wasn't done quite as you or I would do it!
He is still very entertaining how ever you look at his tricks although for me his endurance stuff doesn't interest me at all.

I thought the teeth one was the easiest to work out - after all he didn't go to the original "victim" and he said "I need someone with longer teeth" enter the accomplice with false teeth on a frame that let them slide up inside her lip.
Some of the card tricks are good though.
