'Wonder' Wayne Rooney
He's flying back to Germany - all indications are good, although we'll hear officially shortly.
This simply HAS to be our time; coming back from an injury like that, in just half the time than the previous - amazing!
Someone's smiling down on us, well, someone other than Crouch.

The Rooney saga was all hyped, his bone was probably never that bad anyway and,it was all probably a PR stunt by certain people
Badly bruised springs to mind
Just think all the other clubs in the group would of been over the moon that rooney was out,but come the first game and he does play that will send the skitters up the opposition, and the rest of the group

To be fair to him, he's been keeping fit throughout the recovery. I think the added bonus of having the World Cup at the end of the tunnel was enough to motivate him further.
With Owen, he only had playing for Newcastle to look forward to (compared with the World Cup), so possibly not worth the risk of returning early.

Anyway, who knows, rooney may play like crap etc. but we won't know untill he plays as to whether he's lost much fitness or talent.

I don’t see why people are still going on about this, I mean anyone would think he is the only one playing in the team.
If England need him so much and will be “doomed” without him, surely that only goes to show how ****e England are?

118 goals in 216 games proves it.

Wayne is all about bus-pass slappers and nicking hubcaps.

i dont see why they are relying on rooney like the last man hero is there no other players on the team its just rooney on the pitch on his own, i find it quite sad really and its not fair on the other players with everyone saying rooney is the only one that can do it, they all have 2 legs and know how to play football!!!

As I've said, I don't think we'd have a genuine chance to win the tournament without him - he can make something out of nothing, and that's what we need to give us that edge.

Why's everyone getting on their high horse???
If he is fit and able to play then fantastic and he will be a massive asset to the team but if he cant then so what? We have other world class players in the squad who are more than capable of bringing the trophy home.
Their's no i in team remember!!!
gav..
