Bon Jovi - St marys stadium
Absolutley fantastic
Support band were nickleback another bonus, and it was a non stop evening...
Bonjovi were on at 8 and went for 2 1/2 hours non stop. All the favorites, keep the faith, bad medicine, livin on a prayer, etc. some stunning guitar work from Mr Sambora, and Mr Torres on drums...
well worth it, and one of the best ones to date

GF went to city of manchester stadium to watch them, again she said they were excellent, although the queue (stationary as police closed it for ages to allow other car parks and side streets to empty first) to get out of the main car park was horrendous, took her 2 hours to get out of the car park!!

sounds about right. i was on a coach and we were stuck for aout the same time, till the driver decided to jump a curb and push thru.
If thats the way the traffic is going to be controled on match days well im glad i dont support man city.

The wife and I saw them last night in Milton Keynes................what a polished set, tight as **** and plenty of bass.
Very impresed with the band, disappointed with the so called "golden circle" still 30 metres from the stage..............!
The sound was awesome for an outdoor gig though I thought the venue was lacking in atmosphere, at least until it got dark then you could appreciate the lighting rig, simple as it was.
The band are getting on abit now though as some tracks were pretty slow ( runaway in particular) and at least 5 tracks were detuned so as not to strain a vocal.
Songs of the night for me - It's my life, rockin in the free world and story of my life, good ol 80's rock.
I'd see em again, but not there........!
Highlight of the night, the bloke with the "F*CK WEMBLEY" banner that flashed up on the big screen above the band, crowd went ape but BJ didn't have a clue.

I was at Milton Keynes on Sunday, too. Great gig. Although I'm not a mega Bon Jovi fan, I'm an absolute sucker for Richy Sambora style guitar work.
I was hoping for a few pyrotechnics? Nickleback were excellent and audience interactive, could have done with a light show of their own, but they were a bit early for that and would not have been allowed to upstage Mr Jovi!
I'm knocking on a bit these days but I still pray that Mr Gilmour, Mason, Waters & Co will get back for the ultimate comeback! Got a feeling though, they may not be as good as some of the excellent Floyd tribute bands around now - eg Aussie PF and Think Floyd.

PS Total chaos getting out - glad I wasn't in the Scoob!

We went in scoob, parked in main carpark and arrived back in Stoke at 12:15am.
Luckily had been keeping an eye on BJ website so had an idea on setlist, called it right only missed 2 tracks.

Saw them at Wolveerhampton a couple of years ago and they were rubbish. Mind you, poor venue, poor organisation.
Before that at Don Valley in 95 they were great.
Heard nothing but good things about this tour though. Maybe I should have gone.

People were still queing to get in when Bon Jovi had started! I thought it was a poor set, with little passion from the band.
Although I was comparing that to 95at Don Valley - they were a lot younger then

saw them on sunday at milton keynes too... was good, not as good as at wembley or cardif, but i think that is the bowl atmosphere, never quite as personal there..
still they were excellent as ever and will be back to see them AGAIN when they tour next..
got out really easy, was in car park A, went back to car, had summat to eat and drink, then drove straight out no probs at all, was back in northampton by 12!!

I saw them in Stuttgart a few weeks ago and they were fantastic, the stage was amazing, we had over 80k people at the open air concert which was on the beer festival site.

I was at MK on the saturday...in my aged rockers outfit of a mullet and aviator sunglasses. This is the 3rd time I've seen them. The first was at MK in 2001, and was the best BJ gig I've been too (mainly because Matchbox Twenty were supporting). Wolverhampton was ok, but missed most of the support band 'live' because of the damned queues!!!. This one was good too. I parked in Wickes, and was out and off in no time. Back home by 12.10 (Notts)
