There will always be a small minority of heads when it comes to football... nothing you can do.

But things like the WC bring people together- I've seen Sikhs with england flags on their mercs, people (the women) at work finally have something to talk about other than BB/gossip/quiche recipes



Just enjoy it- Sky has 100 odd channels there must be something on for the footyhaters.... The cricket?

wouldn't be so bad if a match was shown for 105 minutes or whatever, but you need another 1 1/2 hours for so called experts to show how clever they are. Same with F1, but at least they don't scrap the schedule for 5 weeks for it. Tog Gear and 5th Gear have been pulled, but not for football. You wouldn't think from a look at the telly guide that the majority of people aren't actually footy fans.

Yeah but just think: if they didn't show a major football competition enojyed by hundreds of millions of people all around the world every 2 years (European Cup and World Cup) for a few weeks at a time, for a few hours a day, on a couple of channels, people like you would have to find something else to moan about. So be grateful that you can whinge happily for a few weeks before you have to think of something else to blame it on.
