I dont know whether its me or my working out but my car is ranging between 30 and 37 mpg doing the same journey (mainly motorway) of 60 miles a day, doesnt seem to make any difference whether its driven very gently (33 driven gently, 37 this week thrapping it) or not but I do seem to get lower MPG when its filled at the local Tesco, the two 37 mpg figures have been when its been filled at the Shell station (regular unleaded).
Is this me getting my calculations wrong ?
What I do is reset the trip computer when I fill, run it to empty, note the miles and divide it by the number of gallons used, I always brim the tank.
Car is a 2001 Saab 9-3 LPT, no aircon.

Usually run Optimax (03 STi PPP) but on the odd occasion I have half a tank of Ultimate I definitely get about 2 mpg more but it runs a bit rougher. I think there's something funny about Ultimate in that it contains more energy but Scoobs don't like it.
