Default Joys of Accident and Emergency

Had to take the little lad in last night.

Then some nutter came in after about an hour playing his face, upsetting everyone.Security came,he was manhandled out and police were called. They duly arrived and asked"If he behaves will you treat him still?"

Guess which prat jumped the queue of blood soaked people followed by a taxi ride home with the police.Presumably with a stop off at KFC.

THANK YOU TO THE POLICE AND NHS

Be an absolute ****** and get treated like royalty. So angry with this pandering to these people.Aaaaaaaargh

Report it to the local paper. IMO he should have been shown the cells for the night and treated when a doctor had time.

Aggressive behaviour even in someone that is drunk can mask serious illness, so a risky strategy until they've been assessed. 95% of the time they are just tossers though.

from the police point of view dont they just want the situation delat with quickly and then get on their way?

would you rather 2 cops spent 3 hrs sat in A&E babysitting him? or chuck him in the cells and see if he's dead in the morning?

it may be annoying but its sounds a quick and easy way to resolve the problem.

Its sad but unfortunately what seems to happen quite alot. too much time and money is wasted on people who cant be bothered to look after themselves and it comes down to us to do it for them

D'oh bugg*r! I just remembered the case of that black guy who was "left to die" on the floor of a police station after being knock to the ground outside a nightclub.

Alternative suggestion: Treat, then lockup overnight if not "going to die". Then make him write a notice of apology to be displayed in the hospital and local press

This option please.

If you can't be civil in a hospital then be kicked out and die on the forecourt for all I care.

I've sat in casualty for 6 hours once on a friday night after being pretty ill, and got pretty pissed off at all those in for 'alcohol related injuries'. It stretches them to breaking point on friday and saturday nights.
