I want to do my padi open water advanced in this country before going on holiday again (want to do rescue diver when away).
I have looked at loads of dive centres but its hard to tell whats good and bad.
I live in Shropshire so fairly central to get anywhere to do the course, where would people recommend.
thanks

how many dives have you got?
i wouldn't do a rescue diver course until you're proficient in the water on your own. you need to be entirely comfortable wth your own skills before you can assist others or recognise potential panic/problem situations.
horses for courses, but i wouldn't do a AOW in the uk.

You could complete the course at Stoney Stanton but the water's way too cold for me, so I'd do as others have suggested and do it whilst on holiday with decent warm water and some pretty fish to look at.

I just like to know that if anything happened with a dive buddy that I would be in a position to help.
Don't get the chance to dive much but all who I have dived with have been impressed with my skills and I'm very phsically very fit and in good condition (slightly damaged liver maybe
