Just after some advice - I need to get from Woking to FB on Friday, looking at a tube map, is the only way really to go up to Waterloo train station, then up onto the Northern Line then west on the District about 10 stops ?
Anyone suggest any shorter route ?

mmm good idea. I might be working there so need to do that journey 3 times a week. I expect a taxi from Clap Junct is a bit expensive but if it saves all that time then its worth it IMHO for my sanity !

Fulham Broadway is 6 stops on the District Line north from Wimbledon. So take the train to Wimbledon and then simply change platforms for the tube. You'll probably have to get a semi-fast or stopping service from Woking, but I think this is probably your best bet overall and you'll probably have a seat for the whole journey.
