Also got a bootleg copy of 1987 [wtf is going on] on tape!!

Who killed the JAMS LP.

Sh@g Times LP.

The White Room LP

Complete discography here...

Still love their music to this day.

Some amazing limited edition 12"s by them and some great remixes by the likes of the Moody Boys etc

Indeed - but have you got Space on CD?

(kinda suspecting you might not have)

Thanks for the info..

I used to have on tape. Trouble is these's so much 'silence' in Space that a tape can't cope at all.

Need a quality mp3 rip of a CD for the archive.

Have the original 12" of space and of Chill out (the one with the sheep on the front)
No cd UB- sorry. Will have a hunt about for you and see if I can find one.

Chill out is AMAZING. That and space are alongside Brian Eno's 'Apollo' in the racks.

Edit- you missed it....http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Space-Space-CD...QQcmdZViewItem

Oh boy... I'll mail you in the morning m8 if that's ok?

BTW - forgot to mention - Chill Out is indeed amazing - a kind of 'road trip' across the USA. I guess they were trying to crack the American market at the time. Takes me away to far off places everytime I hear it.

A bit like Meddle, or should I say Pink Floyd in many ways?... genuine quality

I've got it on CD although I wish I had a vinyl copy of it. You can buy copies of it in Manchester record shops for a tenner (probably bootlegs but good ones at that)

My favourite part is the Saturn 5 Launch at high sound pressure levels, nearly blows the windows out.

HTFR (the dodgy b*stards that they are) were selling 12"s of chill out and space for £12.99 not long ago........... dodgy represses. Shady practice!

PM UB as you have what he seeks

A friend of mine has a repress of chill out and it's not dodgy at all.......quality wise.

I don't know how close buck is to Manchester but a quick trip round any of the shops around vinyl exchange will reveal myriad copies of SPACE on CD.

Hi

Well there is a CD for sale on Ebay that was six quid last night but has since shot up to £18.00 with a day to go.

Don't suppose anyone on here is bidding for it?

Anyway, Rabid YHPM

I got 1987 the day it came out, went back the next day and they had taken it off the shelves.

Chill out is fantastic, love the sound of Elvis on it.

Allegedly, they also tried selling it at as art before and after the burning. There was a great TV documentary on it.

Bill Drummond is currently doing his 'soup line' where he goes round and makes soup for people.

Space cleared in-box, buck.

After a quick google:

http://www.penkiln-burn.com/highligh..._chinaman.html

The people from the arts festival organised it so I was making soup not in people’s homes, but in semi-public places where I have to confront the indifference of the general public. This goes against the grain of what I think the Soup Line is all about but it is too late for me to quibble about such things. I’ve agreed and I’m here.

I have a copy of the manual somewhere too.
While doing my degree ( in recording studio type gubbins) we were tempted to try it out just to claim the refund of the price of the book as promised when it didnt work out.

"The Techno
Sounds of Dagenham Volume Vl"
its all true!
