Yahoo News.............
A jealous police officer who tried to murder his wife by cutting through her neck with a saw after ramming her car off a road in southwest Scotland has been jailed for 12 years.
.....the court heard that McDowell suffered a 15-centimetre (5.9-inch) deep neck wound that just missed her carotid artery and internal jugular vein following the attack on September 29.
Kelly, armed with the saw, then wrenched it open and attacked her for between three and five minutes.
What the **** was holding her head on (5.9 Inches DEEP)

"Kelly has been suspended from police since his arrest. "
no **** sherlock
"A police officer, who attended the scene of what he initially thought was a road traffic accident, peered through the window of the car and thought he saw a man using a saw to cut through the seat belt of a trapped casualty.
Sergeant Bruce Robison then "realised that the accused was kneeling on the passenger seat at an angle and he could see him putting some force through the saw as he was sawing at her neck," the prosecutor said"
