buying new bed - what size is after king size ?
Decided I want to go for a wider bed than our current kingsize - just wondering what that size is termed ? Someone said "Queen Size" but I don't think so.

Small Single - 2' 6" (75cm) x 6' 3" (190cm)
Single - 3' 0" (90cm) x 6' 3" (190cm)
Small Double - 4' 0" (120cm) x 6' 3" (190cm)
Double - 4' 6" (135cm) x 6' 3" (190cm)
Kingsize - 5' 0" (150cm) x 6' 6" (200cm)
Super Kingsize - 6' 0" (180cm) x 6' 6" (200cm)
I'd recommend the Super Kingsize - that's what I went for

Those are indeed the standard sizes. However a bed can be made to any size we once made a seven foot square jobbie! You could go for a 5'6"x6'6" if a superking is too big.

Those sizes are not relative to the UK.

Super kingsize in my bedroom from Ikea, and the covers and the duvet.
Bloody lovely, I can go to sleep in a starfish position and not touch the edges.
Plenty of elbow room when there's someone in there with you too.

Hence why it also has an Ikea matress.

You also need a decent sized room to put it in if don't want to have to walk across the bed to get out the door.
Most modern 2 up 2 downs you wouldn't even get it in the room lol.
