Ban ALL MUSLIMS from flying?
In the light of current events (assuming they are in fact 'fact') here's a sensible policy suggestion for the 'government' to consider:
Common sense IMO
Once again, British people are being inconvenienced by the activities of home grown Muslim terrorists who, it appears, have conspired to plant bombs on passenger planes leaving the UK.
Mid way through Thursday morning Heathrow Airport remains closed to all incoming flights except those that are currently en route, thousands of passengers are stranded in airports around the UK and all the Department of Transport can do is add to the misery by seriously inconveniencing travellers with babies and young families, the infirm and elderly. New security measures have been put in place prohibiting any hand baggage except certain items which are permitted to be taken aboard in transparent bags.
The British National Party Executive's solution to this problem is to ban immediately, ALL MUSLIMS from flying out of (and in to) Britain until the security situation has been fully resolved.
During recent international football competitions, a similar ban on English football hooligans was carried out, when many football fans had their passports confiscated and travel restricted.
If white working class men can be treated in this fashion it must be possible to apply a similar ban to Muslims. We need firm Government action to resolve this crisis which will thus restore confidence in air travel and remove the serious inconvenience effecting air passengers at the height of the summer school holidays.

Surely thats an Oxymoron from the BNP, they have been spouting 'Send em back' for many years ?
Anyway, who's to say who is a Muslim, mainly Muslims are of Asian origin but you get converts, black Muslims and all in between, what are they going to do, say 'you look a bit brown' your not going anywhere Sunni (sorry couldnt resist), terrorists if asked 'Are you a Muslim' are not going to say 'Yes' unless there is some religous reason where they must answer yes.
I suspect that PIA flights might be safe though, just depends whether you fancy two weeks in Islamabad rather than Florida ?
Maybe as a compromise, like at school the naughty ones can sit at the front.

Then they'll take the bus, or tube, or train
Aircraft security is already hard to bypass and can when you can do just as much damage by hopping on the bus, what's the point?

Good point from Moley, if the troops were withdrawn, would this calm down or do they still owe us one or two ?
Perhaps if we withdrew and said if theres any more attacks we will come back and kick off big style and get to a cold war kind of standoff, its a bit like chasing shadows this lot though, not any one country.

Is that a serious remark? Would you get on a plane with them flying outbound? Would you be happy being the pilot of the plane thats got to fly them?

So you can only be banned if you've blown yourself up on a previous flight, right?

Good idea but far too hard to police. There are crossover-Muslims and you'd get Muslims masquerading as Sikhs, Indians etc.
One solution is to just not allow any hand baggage at all apart from essentials like medicines etc. The money saved in fuel by the lesser weight could be better spent providing proper refresher kits and better inflight entertainment.
And I for one get sick of the copious amount of hand luggage people bring on these days, it would speed boarding immensely. Most airport luggage systems are pretty fast these days too so hardly any waiting for checked luggage.

Ha ha, the BNP, and people who are stupid enough to subscribe to their drivvel, really make me laugh!
Buck, the problem isn't with the Muslim community, the problem is with the fanatics.
If you have the slightest sympathy for the dross that the BNP peddle, I would label you a fanatic! Maybe you shouldn't be allowed to fly, as you publicly sympathise with extreme views!
The hooligans that were not allowed to travel were proven hooligans! How childish, short sighted, and ignorant can someone be to use that as a comparision, and the fact people actually buy into it, amazing!!!!
The best way to fight extremism and fanatiscm is with extremism and fanatiscm?!?!? All IMO of course!!!!

TBH if they really wanted to bring down a plane why not use rocket launchers? Surely they will have the contacts to get hold of them?

But having just read it there is a very good point. If we can stop hooligans from causing a bit of property damage and thumping a few Turks why can't we stop potential mass-murderers or restrict them to PIA
Would any single one of you now look at a Muslim or Asian looking man boarding a plane and not have a doubt in your minds?

Weak analogy. And as far as i'm aware, child abuse doesn't involve the slaughter of 000's of innocent victims. Could be wrong though.
