I was thinking about Israel and Lebanon
Assuming the whole ceasefire thing stays in place and the general situation improves then there is a whole load of rebuilding to do
I know that various aid agencies and international organisations are requesting aid to rebuild the country, but I have a question ...
Assuming the big US companies get in on the act of rebuilding the country (ie, the same ones involved in Iraqi and Afghanistan contracts). Then isn't that a bit of a coup for the US? What I mean is they sold the planes, ammo and vehicles to Israel to blow up lots of things in Lebanon and then various US companies are paid to rebuild the place.
Who is really pulling the strings do you think?
PS - I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but it does seem odd that some senior people will make a lot of money out of the past 5 weeks - and I can't believe these same people are not in a position (right now) to maximise their returns. You never here anything in the media about the monetry side of the last few weeks and who stands to profit. And more importantly who is capable of influencing who profits.
