Simple Pleasures
After watching things like the red bull air race, then the BSB super bikes on telly, and on friday wander out of the hanger i work in to watch a Honda touring car join the list of things not to beat a Tonka F3. I wondered if i was missing out on something as i looked on all of the above with out even being remotely interested.
Today however i went for a run in the pouring rain. The best thing about it was i didn't have young families with push chairs along the river side. I didn't have to wonder whether that dog i was running towards was going to take a chunk out of my calve. For once i had half an hour on my own just me and my thoughts and the p*ssing rain BLISS.
So what are your simple pleasures

Watching my son playing with his toys or investing something new. It gives me more pleasure watching his face light up in wonder or delight than anything else in the world.
Although reading a good book while having a poo does come a close second.

How can going for a dump be described as pleasurable? 
.....ok I suppose if your'e busting, but that's just for the relief. No 2's for me are akin to an SAS hit. In quick, release the hostage, and then make like the shepherd; and get the flock out of there!

Going for a walk along the river bank on any day with my kids in their push chair and my dog, and not having to worry about sweaty self satisfied prats blundering in to us in their garish lycra and Nikes
