You get organic and non-organic farmed prawns. Organic ones will presumably be fed more natural food and given no antibiotics or other chemcials.

The farmed, non-organic prawns are fed additives.

One of them is to make them more 'pink' because that is what Joe Public wants them to look like.

They're only pink when cooked.

with all the sewage / pollution in the worlds oceans I doubt there is such a thing as Organic sea food

Reminds me of an old Billy Connelly story about taking a dump on a plane, in synopsis, the blue ice lands in the ocean a fish swims along "along comes Mr Fish swimety swin and eats my turd munchety munch", he eats the fish for his supper the following friday lol

Now read that in Australia 10% of the prawns comed from farmed resources. So still not sure what makes a prawn Organic.

Seems organic prawns have to be farmed as they are kepy in low density pens.

http://www.graigfarm.co.uk/fishprawns.htm

I can't see that any prawns caught in the wild could be called organic
