Typing With An Accent
I was on another forum before taking the biscuit and decided to type like a mad russian scientist as follows:
HALLO! I VEEEL BEAT YOU ALL OOO HA HA HA HAAAAAAA. NURRZEENG VEEEL STURP MEEEEEE! OOO HA HA HA HAAAAAAA!
It got me thinking, in a community as large as SN, would we all understand each other if we really did type in the same way as our accents sound?
I come from St Helens, land of the gods and also Jonny Vegas, so if I was to type in my accent, it would be something like:
Ey up ****. Ow's eet goin? Arm off down' shops fer ' perper 'n' a lorrrrf a bread in a whyil, will thee want for owt?
We'll nip fer pint down me lorrrcal after, if ya fanca fettling some lasses?
etc

Which rapidly diminished? I've been a fan for years since the days of Bobby Goulding and Tommy Martyn.

Ooooh, Bobby Goulding Those thighs........*swoon*
It didn't diminish , I just kind of lost touch with League when it wasn't televised and only on sky And I was working a lot then too, but they have always been my team
Went to 2 matches at Wigan, played against Widnes and Salford, Saints beat them both Were awesome days out, I really enjoyed it and I ran down after the match and patted Bobby on the shoulder

St. Helens is right in the Axis of Evil, along with Wigan, Wire and Widnes.
And why don't you set of barstards have an apostrophe in your name? Sheer laziness and illiteracy.

I must be showing my age now, last time I watched Saints was when Harry Pinner and Billy Benion were playing
Billy & Harry lived about 2 streets away from where I used to live too

Disagree half a million he may have cost but he did have a good sidestep and knew where the try line was.

talking of assimilation, apparently they are doing a new Star Trek movie, but focused on young kirk, talk of Matt Damon playing the part, something about needing someone who can't act to follow in Shatners footsteps

. Branson tried to get Shatner now aged seventy five! To go up in his recreational space jaunts but the man who boldly went where no man had gone before declined.
