Has anyone climbed this peak from the western side? I'm asking because I'm planning on going up there shortly and don't fancy a trip up either of the eastern ridges unless the weather is perfect. Anyone who's been up Striding Edge will know what I mean. Where would the starting point for a western ascent be?

Thanks.

Might be worth asking on the Outdoormagic.com forums as well.

I've come down the western side and came out at the top end of Thirlmere at the car park. IIRC

Looks like an ascent through the woods on the edge of Thirlmere then. Thanks for the link.

No worries, have a good walk. Thirlmere's my favourite lake, looks different from all the rest!
