The latter posts are so right, the modern fighters with thrust vectoring make a Eurofighter display look like a Cessna 172
I know that A-A combat is fought over longer ranges these days, but if it comes down to it then I know with I'd rather have on my side!!

I was watching that Fairford crash from the end of the runway (MIG-29's by the way, not SU-27's) standing in the "Don't stand here in case the plane crashes" section Was amazing that nobody was killed that day
