Default mouse in house !

Hi Whats the best way to get rid of a mouse? i rarely see it and i only see it for a second(always dark when it comes out, never when lights are full on)) and by the time i look for it its gone and disappeared (underneath the kitchen units?). i thought i was imagining it but i think not now. i also have a small annoying problem with several small midge type flies (fleas?) which may be connected to my small friend. Suppose i could get a mouse trap, any other suggestions?

Heat the metal trigger pin with a lighter then push a Cadburys Button or small piece of chocolate onto it. When it cools it'll be set fast and the mouse will have to tug hard to try to get it, ensuring it sets the trap off.

you never have "mouse", you always have "mice".
Your local EHO will offer good advice and for free.

Wink

Had this prob a couple of weeks ago. My youngest kept seeing this mouse, and it robbed FOUR traps before we caught it.
Since then, nowt

Mouse trap + chocolate= no mouse

Are the little midge type things flying? If so, they aren't fleas, but probably fruit, or vinegar flies, so called because if they get into any alcohol, they turn it to vinegar. I kid you not.

There are a few about at this time of the year as they like fruit. Check that you don't have any slightly overripe fruit in the house, and include vegetables. That's what attracts the little fekkers.
Sat with a glass of red, the other night, went to answer phone, and there were THREE in it after only a couple of minutes

Cat, plus you get the entertainment of watching the cat play with the mouse prior to it getting eaten always worth a laugh & at least they know what to do with the mice, it's the frogs they cannot figure out.

i used peanuts (type used for bird table) and found them very effective had no luck with chocolate. pick a decent trap aswell try here

Home Page go for the classic wooden "LITTLE NIPPER" ones

i found these to be very good at the job once set only needs the slightest pressure on the wooden pad to set it off!

Hello

The ones I caught like chocolate. I too caught about 4 within the space of an hour. Some of them alive (used a humane trap and a 'kill them' trap). Survival of the lucky and/or intelligent

humane trap and peanut butter works well for us

there's a shrew at work (at least that's what i've been told, longer nose apparently) but it's like the one in green mile, pull the place apart to trap it and find it sitting behind you just staring with a 'what the **** are you doing?' look on it's face

it's a laugh at the mo, just hope it's not pregnant!!
