Exclamation LOST & Torchwood

LOST season 3 (and 4 if i's made) have been snapped up by SKY1. F*cking marvellous...

Torchwood starts this Sunday. Not quite sure if it'll be pants or not, but I've got to get our Freeview box wired up to watch it on bloody BBC3.

So who's looking forward to Torchwood?

your kidding? Series 3 will be on C4 surely? ohh and Im sure theyve already actually made series 4 and 5 if Im not mistaken. Doesnt matter which channel its on anyway to me because torrents are by far the better way to watch it, no crappy adverts.

LOST: BBC NEWS | Entertainment | Channel 4 loses Lost to Sky One

I apparently live in the 1700's and don't have broadband, so downloading TV/Movies isn't possible.

They have scripts for a reported 9 seasons. The filming is only a few weeks above the US screenings.

Make that 1600's Looks like your stuck then, adverts after 30seconds of TV and a bill to get Sky1.

I'm sick of Sky buying the rights to everything.

I don't have sky, and I'm not going to get it either. Looking through the TV guide, and what Sky has on, and it's mostly cr@p. I'm not subscribing to that just so I can watch "Lost"

Guess I'll have to buy the Dvd's now. Rather that than give Murdoch my money.

Oh, I know that - But look what American broadcasters are doing to the popular show SG1 and what they did to Firefly. (In fact, they never even showed the 11 odd episodes that they did show in the correct order. How they expected to be able to retain an audience is beyond me! )

I'm not expecting it to go to 9 seasons...

In fact, that threat bu66ered up Babylon5. That was supposed to be 5 seasons, but they were so scared of the plug being pulled they did a quick wrap up at the end of Season 4, and Season 5 was a waste of time.

Uh-oh. I'll get off my soap-box now.

Hello

As above, I just download it from the internet. If you have something like an Xbox you can quickly and easily watch it through your television rahter than on your computer screen.

Episode 3 yesterday was actually pretty good.

If it was all brilliant you wouldn't have time to watch it anyway.

I thought that SG-1 had been dropped by the Sci-Fi network (which is a joke these days, showing wrestling on a sci-fi channel, wtf? ok, it's not real so guess you could class it as fantasy ) but that it was possible another network might pick it up. However, it's had a good run and I think they are running out of ideas.

Lost, as others have said, is filmed a few weeks before airing in the US, and I'd guess they might be up to halfway through season 3 production. There's a break mid-season and it'll return in Feb 2007 for the remainder. There was some mention of extended episodes whilst it's off air, which could be interesting if there is truth to it. It is true that they have scripted for 10 seasons, but I can't really see it going that far.

I agree about B5. The final season was just lacking the punch the previous seasons had. Clarke was out, the shadow war was over, not exactly much more to do. A real shame as it was a very good show, and to this day I still pick up on the odd thing from the very early episodes that relate to the later ones, JMS is an excellent writer. Rumors that there are going to be some direct to DVD shows about some of the characters too, alas G'Kar and Dr Franklin won't be there (JMS said he'd have the characters in it if Andreas and Richard decided to come back from the dead )

Or spend 5 minutes converting it to an Mpeg, burn on a CD and watch via DVD player

Heard about this today, i wont be paying for sky just to watch it, so it looks like downloading will be the answer.

i just hope, that when they do pull LOST, they dont do an "invasion" and mess everybody about with the ending

Download it from any torrent website, I normally use mininova.org as one. The new episodes are normally available a day after screening.

I cant see this running to 11 seasons, I think they really should end it after 3 otherwise they risk the series becoming boring and being scrapped.

Oh, an episode is about 3-400mb, normally takes me an hour with 3mb, but then everyone is downloading it at the same time!
