RICHARD HAMMOND will resume filming TOP GEAR in January (07).....
LATEST: British TV presenter RICHARD HAMMOND will resume filming TOP GEAR in January (07), just four months after he suffered a severe brain injury in a 300 mile(483 kilometre)-per-hour jet car crash. The 36-year-old was filming the BBC motoring show when the high speed accident happened last month (SEP06). Television producer ANDY WILMAN says, "We plan to bring Top Gear back in January and the doctor said, 'That's fine - I don't see any problem with that.' "They want him to rest his brain as much as possible until then and not think about work. If he does that doctors are confident he'll be able to appear on the show."

The latter is supposed to be crap - the Beeb yesterday were saying he'd signed it before the crash. BBC NEWS | UK | Top Gear presenter 'nearly died'

I love the way female presenters are adopting the 'talking out of the corner of the mouth like a gimmer' VBH and the Kate Thornton from X factor does it!!
Ive tried it and I cant even speak....I sounded like the elephant man

More inaccurate idle gossip on 'hello' style websites.
The official BBC line is still:
the corporation can not confirm the return of Top Gear or any other future projects
soz...

How about this:
"Television producer ANDY WILMAN says, "We plan to bring Top Gear back in January and the doctor said, 'That's fine - I don't see any problem with that.' "They want him to rest his brain as much as possible until then and not think about work. If he does that doctors are confident he'll be able to appear on the show."
Seems cut and dried to me.
Sorry to rain on your parade old chap.

A self congratulatory 'celeb goss' website. Hardly an authoritative or even believable place to find such exclusive information.
Who is Andy Wilman anyway? – I thought he was that bloke in Extras. ("Are you havin' a laff??") As a mere 'producer' it would be scarcely up to him to control the BBC's scheduling of programmes anyway. In short, the above is clearly a load of old bollox.

You forgot to put that comment into context with the rest of it - "the corporation can not confirm the return of Top Gear or any other future projects until it had received an update on Hammond's progress."
