Window salesmen

What's the interest in asking the question "If you replaced your doors and windows, would you do the back or the front?"
Had a door to door salesman, and still trying to work out what the point of asking that is. Normal response is that I wouldn't replace either when it's someone selling door to door.
Mind you, maybe next time I might say we'd start with the shed, or the rabbit hutch...

It's to get you to say that you want SOME windows replacing.
If they said "Do you want your windows replacing, yes or no?" - you'd say no. If they say "Front or back" you normally have to say front or back.... Standard sales technique - "Do you want X or Y".
"Lovely car isn't it Sir... Would you like one in red or blue...?"

Dunno, but I really wish those window salesidiots would have some sort of ban imposed on them. Lets face it, it's not exactly difficult to find a replacement window company should you ever feel the need.

reason they is ask is that one is running a promo on buy the front windows, get the back free or buy the rears, get the fronts. You say rears he offers fronts for free & he recon's he has you hooked in on his 'once in a lifetime' deal
lol re the conservatory one, done that one a few times

A Radio 1 DJ was getting some grief from a cold caller so took it upon themselves to call this fella at all hours of the day (got his home nr from somewhere) even at night often waking him up. It was set up really well in that they really sounded like cold callers themselves as they had holding music, various people taking on the roles of sales, admin, regional manager etc. The poor guy was driven mad by it all, threatening to call the Police etc. Bless him ...

Guess it won't be long before the next round of callers wanting to get me to change gas and electricity suppliers.
Might tell them I'll change if they perhaps can arrange for me to get 250 volts instead of 240, as that will make the oven cook things quicker, the tv picture better and the computer faster.
As for the gas, I wonder if I could have some that burns green instead of blue - blue doesn't go with the colour scheme in the kitchen.
