climate change campaigners
How stupid are these people. They must want to pay masses more taxes on everything?
FFS They've fallen hook, line and sinker for all the Government's lies about the myth of 'man made global warming', and now their tiny brains are convinced that the end of the world is just around the corner. Stupid idiots.

Ashok Sinha, director of Stop Climate Chaos, said "climate change is the biggest threat the planet faces" and called for "urgent political action".

In true global warming PC fashion I herby declare that I am willing to do the following:
-Spend all of YOUR money
-Give away more of YOUR rights
-Take away more YOUR freedoms
-Move aggresively towards a world tax
-Give the UN more power
Um..wait..I'm sorry..I thought this was the "how to push socialism under a different name" posting...sorry I guess I got confused and mixed the two up somehow. I'm always getting them mixed up these days. Hard to tell the difference anymore.

It is interesting to read what a climate change research scientist - Mike Hulme, Director of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research - has to say about the media and politicians ranting on about climate change "chaos".

I too am inclinded to believe that we are heading for a taxation hike for muddled motives, BUT...
It is obvious that the climate is changing, there will be upsides and downsides, but what are we going to do about potential damage? If sea levels rise significantly, that is going to be seriously bad news for some people and will ultimately there will be a cost for that. We probably can't stop it, but how can we protect coastal populations/environments?
The science about about man-made CO2 emmissions is unconvincing, but we do need to use scarce energy very carefully, and disposing of the sh!te we pump into the environment just cannot be a good thing.
So, while I'm skeptical about government motivation, something needs to be done. But I'm far from certain that taxing motorists etc into oblivion is going to help one jot
Richard.

If you think that all global warming means is a warmer summer, do some research.

On the day that the largest container ship in the world docked at Felixstowe.
Carrying masses of Christmas stuff made in China.
You want to tackle climate change?
The only way is to stop Globalisation, all 'plane travel and return to a parochial existence worldwide.
One thing that amused me was on a BBC Radio 2 news item on the demo, the reporter said lots of groups were represented, including Surfers Against Sewage.
Now I can understand the surfers objection to sewage discharge into the seas. However, I've never seen a surfer with board arrive by cycle, train or bus at the beach. Car, van or campervan yes and don't surfers like to travel the World looking for waves?
Oh and in New Zealand last August. In Rotorua, the World BMX Championships, all those healthy cyclists, got there on those nasty 'planes.
How many times a year does Blair and family travel by 'plane on holiday?
Or our MPs on their jollies, er sorry, fact finding trips?
Ration energy, equal share for all, from top to bottom, rich and poor, with no selling of your share.
Then I'll believe the Politicians are sincere.
