Just had my insurance renewal through.
Now bearing in mind, this is for my workhorse shed, an M reg Audi 80 Diesel Estate. Not exactly a performance car and not exactly sort after by the criminal element.
Im 36, live in a VERY low risk cornish market town, park the car off road.
What would you think would be a "reasonable amount" for a car like that?
Oh, no convictions or claims in the last decade of my life. Nothing unusual about any other details they need.

They do this all the time (I'm with NU Direct). Every year I get an inflated quotation through the post, I do a quick net quote on their site, phone them up and ask wtf. They then give me the net quote price. ![Thumb](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif)

P!$$ take or what!
Tomorrow i will be searching for a new (cheaper) quote. NU can go kiss my lily white at that price. In fact, even if they half it, they can still go take a run and jump for trying to rip me off in the first place.

I change insurance companies every year, find the best quote on the net and go for that, £350 fully comp for my work horse bmw 325tds (26 full no claims, 1 non fault accident in 2003) doubt it will go down next year though

Direct Line provide a good combination of acceptable premiums with a good claims service.
A-Plan Brokers if you have mods (I'm insured with Groupama via A-Plan)

noticed that. can't argue with your logic though - edited to say can't argue with your logic about the policy pricing.

my renewal with norwhich union was over 100% extra on the scoob (got insurance originally with asda but it was underwritten by nu) quick call to moleywrx sorted it out for under a grand with mods(as opposed to 3.6k it would have cost with nu standard)
