How do I stop I Tunes updating my Ipod automatically?
Also if I create a new playlist as I have 4 gb of music in itunes and only a 2gb ipod how do I get that new playlist on my ipod rather than the full library. At the momet I keep getting insufficent space message as it is trying to put the full library on there. Spent ages trying to sort this
Thanks

Step 1 pick up the IPOD
step 2 remove the refuse recepticle cover
step 3 insert the IPOD inside the hole beneath the refuse recepticle cover with a hard throwing motion.
step 4 insert self in a car
step 5 drive to shop
step 6 buy a creative zen
step7 live a hapy stress free life

Luan Pra bang - Getting boring now. yaaawwwwnnnnn
Anyway, onto a helpful answer.
plug ipod in.
iTunes 6-
Edit>Preferences>Ipod - Automatically sync option there. turn it off.
iTunes 7+
Click on iPod and there's an option to automatically sync (or manually manage I can't remember).
Better way to manage it, is to auto sync a playlist, you just keep the playlist as you like it (max 2GB of course) and ipos automatically syncs.
Anyway, onto a helpful answer.

Ah, that explains it then, I've just been checking how you do it, haven't got my ipod here though!
As for playlists, just make one and drag and drop it on to your ipod, same goes for individual tracks...it's really easy!
Luan, have you read any instructions for your ipod?
