Paypal problem
Ive been using paypal now for over a year and any respect i had for them has gone this week, i had over £1500 in my account last Friday, i set it in action to send to my bank account, the very next day i log in and see they have limted my account and have not sent my money out, they say i have more money that normal going into my account normally i make about £900 a week this week i made £1500, they have asked me to fax in a bank statement to prove my identiy which i have done, along with a few recipts, and still today, i have logged in and it is still limited, despite several phone calls, and asking to speak to a manager which i have never recived a call back.
Has anyone else been in this situation before ?

I had to do all that the first time I hit £4500 due to the money laundering law.
I got a 4 digit code from them in the post, I had to declare amounts in my bank account again, and re-verify my address.
I turn over a lot more than £900 a week on ebay

What about the fees you incur?
You have listing fees/selling fees and then paypal fees.
Its alright for the odd 1 or 2 things but i guess your a powerseller selling hundreds and thousands of items!
I hate selling things on ebay due to all the fees incurred

We prefer PayPal and have the margin built in to the price to take it- I couldn't be doing with messing about with cheques etc to be honest.
We average about £5k a month through a paypal premier account and, touch wood, have never had any probs in the 12 months or so that we've been selling on ebay.
Whilst the costs may seem high, it actually costs less than the retail side of our business, where the overheads are much higher (staff / elec / gas / rates / staffing / etc).
