Default Girl, 4, 'suffering depression'

BBC NEWS | England | Wear | Girl, 4, 'suffering depression'

Nothing to do with the fact that her mother looks positively suicidal

Can't see her having much of a laugh around the dinner table !!!

She (the mother) does look rather happy doesnt she. Talk about putting a positive spin on things, 'think of all the new friends you'll make' if that doesnt work a quick slap on the back of the legs 'stop your effin whining kid and get on with it' Well come on, thats what would have happened back in the day

Boo ****ing hoo.

What the hell is wrong with these pathetic parents and kids ?

Christ, I had to be bleeding from the ears before I got any time off school and a clip round the ear if I said I was 'depressed'.

She is 'unhappy' and 'spoiled' not 'depressed'

Saw them on BBC news this morning.

Felt a bit sorry for the parents. They struggled during the interview and didn't really come across too well.

There was a suggestion that as the parents had reacted badly to the child not getting into the school they wanted, it was this that was contributing to the girls behaviour.

Off course, another example of a group of people who should have took a competence test before being allowed to breed.

"There wasn't a thing wrong with her before. Her health was fine, but now she's backwards and forwards to the doctors."
A small correction,

As you lot haven't pulled any punches, I'd go on to say that the interview of the family on BBC Breakfast was pretty tough viewing.

The ability for either parent to complete a coherent sentence was.....................

Sounds to me as though the parents have got the doctor, or whomever diagnosed the kid as being depressed, to say this in an effort to try and sway the school to letting the kid in.

Maybe they should have got their application in on time, like all the other parents.

Was n't the problem the parents didn't apply till too late......
So, I blame the parents!
I'm impressed the kid had friends.
No the parents didn't come across well..... but keeping her from the new school will really help the situation.
Perhaps they could tattoo her as well. Lets hope there are no bullies (ever) 'cause being so special will help.

However I'm sure the LEA(?) will roll over. Then the teacher can kick up a fuss, ad infinitum.....

LOL at the above - so every time a child can't have their own way, they're clinically depressed
euthanasia now before she ends up on the dole for ever in later years because she can't cope
