"The Cause of the accident is under investigation"

erm...hello?

overtaking a car on the wrong side at over 100mph when rat-arsed and the road is only wide enough for one car...

I know she was tramming, but how didn't she see a massive toll booth approaching from miles away?

Saw this posted on TSC the other day. There was a lively debate about it as well, as is to be expected. There was also a link to another forum which contained links to a photobucket account that had a few more pictures of the accident, including damge to the other car, plus some very, very graphic pictures of what happened to driver of the Porsche.

I certainly would not post them directly on here, far too graphic. As it stands the photobucket account hosting them has exceeded it's bandwidth thus the pictures cannot be viewed at the moment, but the thread the links were posted on can be found.

Note: I have *not* viewed that thread in it's entirety, so I cannot be totally sure if the pictures appear, as opposed to the first post merely giving links to the pictures on a photobucket account. Regardless of this fact, the pictures are of a very, very, very graphic nature and are most certainly not safe for work, or if you are somewhat squeamish. I'm sure most of you can imagine what kind of damge can be done to the human body when such an accident happens. Consider yourself warned.

You'l be pleased to know that the links have pretty much ALL been wiped. Probably out of respect for the family.

What a waste - she was a pretty girl

To be honest, I don't look at stuff like that anymore, I can imagine what they are like having seen stuff like that, you realise that your morbid curiosity should sometimes be stifled by your common sense. When I first got net access I saw stuff like that and never once felt better for seeing it, more cautious certainly having seen what can happen but its just saddening seeing people reduced to 'splats'.

It does make me wonder whether when my lads start driving it may be an idea to show them some **** like that, I am sure the families and the deceased may prefer if the pictures are going to be posted on the web against their will that they are used to scare the **** out of other daft teenagers before they stain a toll booth wall.

Very sad to see. Yes she made a mistake but that is such a horrible thing to happen. You can do 100mph in most cars. I wonder how that would effect peoples comments.

She could have been over by the smallest ammount and they may have a zero limit in the county it happened. I'm not condoning drink driving but I bet plenty on here have had a pint and driven home. I also knwo a fw have had bans. it's not right but to pay the ultimate price and you come out with that comment is very small minded.

regardless of how much over the limit she was, she was over the limit and driving like a idiot, showing off in her "borrowed" Porker, just glad no one else got KILLED in the accident.
Be a different tune if it were in this country and she happend to hit and kill one of your family members ?

Automatic gearbox too...so much easier to drive when your drunk and a bad driver

If it was a 20yr 911 she would have stalled it pulling off the drive and her left leg would be too weedy to press the clutch back in.

Yes she was driving like an idiot and no I'd not be happy if she killed one of my family members but for you to say she got what she deserved is in very poor taste IMHO. I very much doubt anybody on here can look back and think they've never driven like an idiot at one time on their lives. Even more so when they were young.

Depends on how you define drink driving ?
i detest people that think its great to go out and have 3 4 5 or more beers then get in a car and drive home, but like you say its MY opinion and if you think its harsh then fine i don't have a problem with that at all try losing a friend and your views may change.

And i agree, ive done it, BUT never when ive had a drink
