Heroin addicts spend £40k yr on the drug
So I understand from the Police officer who suggests give it to them in hospital and it will stop them committing crimes to get their £40,000 to pay for the drugs in the wild.
My worry is they would have the drugs but continue with crime to have a nice income of £40,000 to go out for a nice meal/pictures.
How come we are awash with drugs in this country? Are the police/customs just so bad ?

Plus, did anyone watch "Traffic Cops" the other night. They pulled a car over at a Petrol station for using a mobile phone, and for not wearing a seat belt. The copper checked his details, and it came back that he has a history of Drugs. One search later, they find a carrier bag full of Drugs.
What sentence did this drug dealer get? How many years was this drug pusher inside prison instead of getting young kids hooked on his drugs?
Nothing. The case was thrown out, due to lack of evidence.
While we get a £60 fine for just creeping over the speed limit. Add to that increase insurance costs.
So to answer your question lozgti, yes, the Police/customs really are that bad.

In fact he was saying that it cost £15k per annum for a bad habit but the addict needed to nick stuff worth around £45 to fund that (keeps e-bay in business I suppose). The cop was saying get them into rehab and give them drugs free as part of a programme and I think it is difficult to argue against that.

why don't they just lace every drug seizure with cyanide and send it on its' way? we'd soon see who the junkie scumbags "were" then! and yes I'm very serious.
funny how the nhs cant fund drugs for decent hard working people, but they look at giving smack heads a free ride.... makes me wanna puke
