Default Any Satellite experts here

Advice required please :....:.....

I've got a box-standard satellite reciever, had it ages. It's been repaired twice now (at £60 a time)....guess what...its knackered again. So rather than get it repaired i thought i would get one from eBay.

I spotted this eBay.co.uk: SKY + DRX180 DIGITAL RECEIVER BOX + 40GB HARD DRIVE (item 250061805390 end time 22-Dec-06 20:39:40 GMT)

but what i dont know, is if my existing SKY card will be compatible with the SKY+ service

Please advise

Sky+ needs 2 feeds from your dish. Fairly straight forward to run, if the LNB on your dish has more than 1 output.

You then need to get the card paired to the box by calling sky.

Sky+ will cost you an extra £10 per month unless you subscribe to movies or sport.

Phone up Sky, they've got some good Christmas deals going.

2 years ago I wanted Sky in another room, so got Sky+ in the living room, the old box fitted to the other room, all fitted with new cables for £50 including the new + box. Cost is £10 extra per month.

Well worth it for £50
