Default Christmas Spirit II - More great feelings

This will probably go down hill quickly....

... but given all the high net worth individuals on here, who gives money to charity at Christmas (or other times of the year)? You obviously don't have to say how much but who do you donate to and why?

I donate to the Red Cross, simply because they always seem to focus on those in the most dire situations.

I raised £196 for the NSPCC by running Sheffield 1/2 marathon, no mean feat when I got cramp at 8 miles in both calves :S

NSPCC gets my money ............... children are helpless.

I don't give money to animal shelters and suchlike - however much I like animals, we have loads!

I don't give to those with high overheads and highly paid executives. The Children's Society and the NSPCC have found an unusual and highly successful way of reducing overheads: merging their IT departments, saving £800,000 a year in the process.

I would think that statement is spot-on .......

Whats the average wage in the UK? £30,000??

Whats the average wage on ScoobyNet? £60,000??

So, a high net worth I would presume? ..... mind you, as the Impreza gets cheaper I imagine that the average wage of owners is also lowered??

But these cars cost money to run .........

Pete, the NSPCC would have had alot more if you kept your word.

Is it pointless asking you for the forthcoming NBO

I donated to the Tsunami appeal (through the Scoobynet auction), but I don't give to charity as a general rule. In my house, charity begins at home - whether people accept that or not, I don't really care

maybe every now and again, I might chuck some change into the air ambulance bucket outside the supermarket foyer.

But I don't give a regular donation though.
